Hi, I’m Daimia!

But everyone calls me, Day

Texas and its wild, beautiful landscapes shaped me as both a parent and a photographer. My love for nature and light started on the trails—hiking with my son, Barrett, when he was just a toddler. I was captivated by the colors of Enchanted Rock at sunset, the deep greens of the Guadalupe River, and the warm, earthy tones of the fossils at Dinosaur Valley. Those colors, that sense of wonder and adventure, still inspire my work today.

But it’s not just nature that shaped me—it’s where I come from. I grew up with very little, raised by a hardworking single mom who taught me what resilience really looks like. My dad battled schizophrenia, and while that brought challenges, it also gave me a unique lens through which I see the world. He taught me to be creative, to find beauty in the unexpected, and to always lead with compassion and empathy.

I met my husband, Cole, when I was 15. He was my steady place then, and he still is now. Together we’ve built a life with our two boys, Barrett and Mattis, full of love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the fleeting nature of time.

As a mom and a photographer, I know how fast life moves. That’s why I pour my heart into capturing the honest, meaningful moments—the ones that feel as real as the love behind them.

And the rest is history
